Hello, I'm Ruth Cole and I teach German at the Sir Bernard Lovell School in South Gloucestershire. The school is a secondary school from ages 11-18 and has Language College Status. We have 1350 students.
German Partner
Hallo,my name is Marianne and I´m an English teacher at a secondary school, too. In Saxony we call it Middle School and our students are from ages 10- 16 ( if they don´t repeat a year- which they are allowed to do twice!!)
Our town is in a nice residential area not far from Leipzig.At our school we are about 350 students and 28 teachers.
The idea of our future project is brilliant- that´s what I think- because we have to develop oral skills in Saxony.The reason is- we work with a new Saxon curriculum and in 2 years there will be oral examinations for all our students. So we could exchange both English and German products for speaking and listening.We have already produced some videos- so maybe this would be possible ,too.
